Responsible AI

As part of ACTS ML's commitment to responsible AI, we have included a set of guiding questions and documentation to help you think about the implications of your model and how it will be used in the real world. These questions are designed to help you make informed decisions about your model and its impact on society as well as help you get the best results on what you are building.

Guardrail 1: Platform Direction

When you first sign in, ACT ML presents you with a pop-up that has 3 directions to choose from:

  • Creating a model using own data
  • Creating a model using Opensource data
  • Donating data to the platform

Selecting any oth the above gives you more information on the implications of your choice and how it will affect your model and the community. Plus, a link is provided to the Responsible AI guidelines prepared by our experts.

You can access this pop-up at any time by clicking the Responsible AI button link in the platform sidebar, at the bottom.

Guardrail 2: Project Creation Guidelines

We mentioned this in the Quick Start guide, but it is worth repeating here. When creating a project, the first step provides you with a set of questions to help you define the problem you are trying to solve with your model. If these questions are answered correctly, you will make right decisions on the subsequent steps of the model building process.

We help you decide on:

  • What the problem is that you are trying to solve
  • What data you will use to train your model
  • What factors influence your model and how they will be used

Remember: you must go through the Responsible AI legal disclaimer before you can proceed to the next step.

Guardrail 3: Dataset Upload Guidelines

In the Dataset Upload form, we have embedded a number of fields on the form that help you think about the implications of your dataset and how it will be used in the real world. They appear on the Collection and Ethics & Consent sections of the form.

Guardrail 4: Dedicated Responsible AI Guide

Lastly, we have a dedicated RAI page that provides you with more information on the implications of your model and how it will be used in the real world. This page is accessible from the footer of the main website or by going to https://actsml.com/responsible-ai
